Devi Dawn Hamilton
RYT 500, Yoga Therapist
Devi has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1999 to calm her overactive, sensitive, empathic mind. Discovering yoga was like finding a miracle drug with positive side effects. She loves sharing this secret! Prior to yoga, Devi spent 18 years healing the earth’s oceans. In Florida, she protected endangered sea turtles, dolphins and manatees. In Washington, D.C., she negotiated changes to public law to protect and conserve whales, dolphins, sea turtles, fish and people from dangerous toxins. Devi traveled the world, solo, soaking up its cultures, customs and healing traditions. She spent over 1000 hours training with master teachers. Blending this multicultural wisdom, she offers the lessons of yoga, pranayama and Ayurveda to heal others. Devi lived on the soothing islands of Maui and Ireland, the beaches of Florida and the peaceful forests of her home state of New Hampshire. Devi trained with yoga masters Nichala Joy Devi, Dr. Marc Halpern, Amy Weintraub and Shiva Rea and has soaked up the atmosphere of several ashrams. Her certifications include Certified Yoga Therapist, International Association of Yoga Therapists, advanced LifeForce Yoga® Practitioner, and Sivananda certified Siromani. Devi is grateful to be mentored by vinyasa master Tom Gillette and trained with Anusara yogi goddess Jennifer Lynn, and studied Yoga Nidra (integrated relaxation) and pawanmuktasana (joint freeing series) in Australia. Devi is a certified Strategic Intervention Coach, Robbins-Madanes Coaching Academy and currently is completing her training with the American Vedic Institute led by Dr. David Frawley.
